Book Reviews- My Name Is Rose by Sally Grindley

My Name Is Rose by Sally Grindley

This emotional roller-coaster of a book is phenomanal- an absolute must-read for any girl (or boy) aged 9+.

Rose is a Roma- a kind of Gypsy. She is travelling all the time, and her family’s wagon is her home- which she loves and cherrishes. But one night, a terrible accident occurs. A terrible accident that was to kill her parents her young brother, Rani, and leave Rose in a hospital bed- and about to be forced of into a new life in far away England. Full of fake limps, lies, new families, and stepsisters you would be ashamed to say you were related to, this is a richly detailed book that is sure to have you gripped and unable to put down.

One of the best less- known books I’ve read in a long time!
